Nicosia - Pyrgos

This is one of the most beautiful routes ever. Keep in mind this road is newly paved. During the winter/fall, gravel covers great part of the road surface due to the rain. If you are going for the view, it's not going to be a problem at all. Just keep an eye on the road. If you are going to hit the twisties, go during spring and summer. For a large part of the ride, there will be no places to stop and have a break, so take some water with you.

Take the motorway from Nicosia to Astromeritis village. From the traffic lights take a left and head towards Troodos. After you pass Koutrafas village (actually you may not even notice this village :D) go straight for a couple of minutes and you will see a big gas station. You can't miss it. Refuel if you need to do so. A couple of hundred meters down the road there is a turn on your right. Take that turn and you are now heading towards Kalopanagiotis village.

A few minutes after you pass Katydata village you need to take another turn to the right. The signs will indicate towards Kampos and Pyrgos. Take that turn. If you reached Orkondas, you've missed the turn. Let the fun begin!! From here on, the ride is just fun. There are practically no straights from this point after. Keep an eye for the right turn that indicates to Pyrgos. If you need a stop, take a small de-tour (you will see the signs) and head for Kampos Village. It is circled on the map. The map indicates the route with a black coloured line. While you are in Pyrgos, go have some fresh fish, don't miss out on that one. From Pyrgos (don't forget to refuel if you need to do so), if you wish to continue to Polis Chrysochous or Paphos, see more details in Paphos-Pyrgos route.

Alternatively, from Kampos village you can go to Kykkos Monastery and Gerakies village. At this point, the options are endless, and they are all great. You just need a map.
